Description
These are genuine Connfly sockets. 32 pins, and you cut them to the length you need and save the rest for use later.
We include SIP sockets in our kits because there are a lot of new builders out there, and we don't want them damaging transistors with too much heat, in case they are not yet really-experienced solderhands.
These are great for those who like to experiment with their circuits and try out different compoents to find just the sound they want. These are also great for test circuits like the one we use to match our JFET quad sets for phasers. Stick in the part, measure, pull it out. Next!
If you've used SIP sockets from certain inexpensive overseas parts suppliers, you probably had more than one occasion where transistors would just not stay put, fell out or you had to tweak the heck out of the leads to "fix" the pedal. These are high-quality parts and make a world of difference. These do cost a little bit more, but if you've had issues with cheap sockets, give these a try. You'll never use the cheap, low-quality ones again.
