Afterblaster Booster Kit

This kit includes all of the parts needed to build the GuitarPCB AfterBlaster boost add-on project. Based off the popular Stage 3 Booster circuit, this board is designed to be an add-on to an existing pedal, serving as both a post-effect boost and a 3PDT wiring board.

Unlike most of our pedal kits, this kit does NOT ship with a power jack, enclosure or audio jacks, and the 3PDT switch is optional. If you are adding this to a new kit/project you are building, the 3PDT switch that comes with that kit can be used. If you are putting this in an existing pedal, especially one that has a 3PDT wiring board already installed, you will likely want to replace the 3PDT switch with a new one to avoid de-soldering hassles. The amount of boost is adjustable via your choice of an internal trimmer potentiometer for the "set it and forget it" type, or by using the included standard potentiometer. A black Davies 1510-Style knob is included, or you can request a slimmer 1900h style knob.

Please note: This may not fit inside all pedal enclosures. Kits sold by Pedal Parts and Kits that include the "pre-drilled" enclosure option are not necessarily laid out to accommodate this larger-than-standard 3PDT board add-on circuit, nor are they drilled to accommodate an additional potentiometer should you decide to use one for this boost. The best way to deal with this is to order a kit with an undrilled enclosure and design a layout that fits your requirements and drill it yourself. If you are unable to drill the enclosure yourself, and you want to install this circuit into the same enclosure as another kit you're ordering from us, you should contact us first with the details and we'll let you know if we can accommodate you before you order. There are certain kits that will not have room for this additional circuit.

When purchasing this item, you may want to also add a DPDT switch to replace the on-board DIP switches. See the build document for more information on this. A DPDT switch is not included in the kit.
