Description

This kit includes all of the parts needed to build a GuitarPCB Tweed King pedal.

The Tweed King is a circuit that recreates the overdriven tone of the famous Fender® amplifiers of old which have become the stuff of legend, thanks to the unique tone these amps produce and to the countless players that have used this tone to create their signature sound, there’s no doubt in my mind that the Tweed sound has help shape music history.
Think of tones by Neil Young, Pete Townsend, Joe Walsh, Keith Richards, Billy Gibbons, Joe Bonamassa and more.

This kit comes with a 125B enclosure and black Davies 1900H-style knobs.

This kit includes a jack for a DC power adapter but does not include a battery snap. Pre-drilled enclosures are not drilled to accommodate a battery, other than by special request (use our website contact form). Please see what is provided in a kit? in our FAQ for more details of what is included and what you will need to provide to complete the project.

    Tweed King Pedal Kit

After years of buying guitars, amps and pedals I wanted a project. I decided to try this kit. I got the pre-drilled enclosure. I have no experience other than I can solder and tinker with things a lot. The board is marked clearly when components have a + - or get orientated a certain way. The build docs were a great help. There was 3 colors of wires that came in the kit Red,White and Black (Wish there were other colors like the build doc). Not a big deal, just have to play attention a little more. I cut the wires for the input/output jacks to 4" and used my own Nylon wire (Cloth Pickup Wire). The wire in the kit is fine. I just had Pickup wire laying around and used it. The other wires I cut at 2.25". I also had a friend (Jeff@Analogpedals) give me a crash course on components and looked over the pics I sent him . Which really helped a lot! In the end the pedal works great and sounds killer thru my Fender Blues Jr. No noise and great tone! I had 15 hours in the build. If I were to build this kit again, which I probably will or had any knowledge at all this would be a way quicker build.
